Abstract
The paper is dedicated to the phenomenon of trust, which is the object of interest for a lot of disciplines. In the study the author describes how the concept trust is understood in philosophy and psychology. In addition, the author makes an analysis of the definition of trust in Polish and Russian dictionaries and he examines corpus data. Basing on that the author manages to answer the question how the phenomenon of trust in Polish and Russian languaculture.

- W niniejszym artykule rozpatrywany jest fenomen zaufania, które stanowi obiekt zainteresowania wielu dyscyplin. Аutor opisuje, jak wybrane pojęcie jest interpretowane z punktu widzenia filozofii oraz psychologii. Ponadto przeanalizowano definicje wyrazu zaufanie w polskich i rosyjskich słownikach oraz przedstawiono dane korpusowe. Pozwoliło to odpowiedzieć na pytanie, jak rozumiane jest zaufanie w polskiej i rosyjskiej przestrzeni językowo-kulturowej.
