Abstract
An improperly chosen model or a simple method of the interpretation of tracer experiments may yield completely false parameters. Analysis of different models and interpretation methods applied to two field tracer experiments shows possible errors in the interpretation of tracer data and in the prediction of pollutant travel. For a prediction in fissured rocks, having a high matrix to fissure porosity ratio, the dispersivity is negligible, whereas the diffusion into the matrix is the main phenomena causing a longitudinal spread of solute. -Authors
