Abstract
Dielectric permittivity of Cd2Nb2O7 single crystals under hydrostatic pressure (p ≤ 500 MPa) was studied in the temperature range 290-360 K. The pressure is found to decrease the ε value and to shift the high temperature phase transition (Ttr ∼ 312 K) towards lower temperatures. The pressure induced shift in Ttr is found to be considerably great and the high temperature phase is characterized by slow relaxation processes resulting in a "pressure memory effect". © 1990.
