Abstract
In the first half of June 1988 heavy and intense rainfalls were recorded in the centre of West Pomerania. The interval of recurrence of the diurnal totals of 130 mm recorded on 7 June at Storkowo is 103 years. Analysis was made of the spatial distribution of rainfalls and their effects in the denudative system of young glacial catchments in the Parseta drainage basin. The resulting data allow evaluation of the role of an extreme meteorological phenomenon in soil erosion and denudation in the young glacial catchments. -Authors
