Abstract
The synthesis of liquid stationary phases with cyanopropylmethyl polysiloxane containing cations of Cu2+ Or Co2+ which were bonded to the resulting polymer via cyano groups is described. Columns of 30 m x 0.53 mm were coated with these stationary phases (film thickness of 0.5 μm.). The characteristics of the polysiloxanes obtained were determined by the use of spectroscopic techniques (UV-vis,IR). The thermal stability of the columns was established and the average molecular mass of the polymer was calculated. The Grob test mixture was also used to evaluate the columns.
