- In the paper, we study the thermodynamic and electromagnetic properties of thePenson–Kolb (PK) model, i.e., the tight-binding model for fermionic particles with thepair-hopping interactionJ. We focus on the case of repulsiveJ(i.e.,J<0), which canstabilize the eta-pairing superconductivity with Cooper-pair center-of-mass momentum⃗q=⃗Q,⃗Q=(π/a,π/a,...). Numerical calculations are performed for severald-dimensional hypercubic lattices:d=2 (the square lattice, SQ),d=3 (the simple cubiclattice) andd= ∞hypercubic lattice (for arbitrary particle concentration 0
0asafunctionofnandpairingstrength.The analysis of the effects of the Fock term on the ground state phase boundaries andon selected PK model characteristics is performed as well as the influence of the phasefluctuations on the eta-pairing superconductivity is investigated. Within the Kosterlitz–Thouless scenario, the critical temperaturesTKTare estimated ford=2 SQ lattice andcompared with the critical temperatureTcobtained from HFA. We also determine thetemperatureTmat which minimal gap between two quasiparticle bands vanishes in theeta-phase. Our results for repulsiveJare contrasted with those found earlier for the PKmodel with attractiveJ(i.e., withJ>0). - DOI
