Abstract
Poznań school of public finance was created in 1919 by professor Edward Taylor of the Law and Economy Faculty at Poznań University, a mentor and a moral role model for thousands of Polish lawyers and economists.For political reasons, the research activities of the Department of Financial Law at Poznań University concentrated on budget laws for 50 years after World War 2. In that period Poznań became a leading state and local finance research center in Po-land.The paper presents selected dissertations of the researchers from the Department of Financial Law at Poznań University, devoted to pioneering aspects of budget period and long-term financial planning.
