The position of a vertex in a network and its transportation functions
Authors:
- Waldemar Ratajczak
Abstract
The position of a vertex in a transport network determines its transportation functions and thus its importance in the network. In the article two such functions are considered: basic and additional. The consideration leads to formulating and proving theorems which provide an easy and quick way of calculating the number of transportation functions of any vertex in a network, as well as functions occurring in the network as a whole. The obtained theoretical results may be important for quantitative characterization of networks and planning. -Author
