Abstract
The article discusses graphics which adorned Polish 16th century printed herbaria. The analysis of illustrations published in the works of Stefan Falimirz, Emiliusz Macer, Hieronim Spiczyński and Marcin Siennik provides an opportunity to compare the wood�carvings and the books. It allows to indicate the sources which inspired the illustrations and the herbaria themselves, offering an opportunity to present them against a wider, international background.
