Abstract
Tris(trimethylsilyl)silane is an effective reducing agent for organic halides that functions by a free radical mechanism. It rivals tributyltin hydride in its efficiency and is a superior reagent from ecological and practical perspectives. © 1988, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
