Circular intensity difference scattering (CIDS) due to reorientational processes of optically inactive molecules in dc electric field

Abstract
CIDS due to reorientation of macromolecules in an intense dc electric field E0 is not linear in E0. The effect is analyzed for arbitrarily large reorientation of dipolar molecules with point group symmetries 3m, 4mm, 6mm or ∞m. A magnitude of the field strength E0 is shown to exist for which CIDS becomes maximal. © 1990.
