Abstract
1. 1. The effect of eyestalk removal upon acid and alkaline phosphatase activities in hepatopan-creas homogenates and subcellular fractions of the crayfish (Orconectes limosus) was studied. 2. 2. In intact animals activity of acid phosphatase was higher than that of alkaline phosphatase. 3. 3. The removal of eyestalks causes decrease in activity of both phosphatases. © 1977.
