Step energy in the ground-state roughening transition
Authors:
- Adam Antoni Lipowski
Abstract
By studying the ground-state structure of an interface in (i) S= 1 2 and S=1 antiferromagnetic Ising models and (ii) the S=1 Blume-Emery-Griffiths model, we have shown that the step energy vanishes at the ground-state roughening transition. The peculiar structure of an interface in the S=1 antiferromagnetic Ising model suggests that the Hamiltonian of the interface is related to the RSOS model studied by den Nijs and Rommelse. © 1994.
