Abstract
Formation of the laity in academic world is a part of the subservient role of the Church. Its purpose is to help to discover the path to holiness through fulfilling the calling. Its spiritual and doctrinal aspect, the knowledge of the Church’s social doctrine and the preparation for the apostleship are very important aspects of its activity. Culture and faith meet in the university environment. The need for the formation of the laity in the academic world results from the specificity of this environment and the ongoing socio-economic changes.
