Godność człowieka w kaznodziejskiej refleksji św. Cezarego z Arles

Abstract
The article discusses the teaching of St. Caesarius of Arles on human dignity. Its most important manifiestation is the fact of man being created in the image and likeness of God. Even though Adam did not respect this exceptional gift of God and committed the original sin, God nevertheless restores his dignity in the salvific work of Jesus Christ. Caesarius urges the faithful to take care of their dignity so that in the end they could deserve eternal happiness in heaven. The article draws attention to the characteristic that in his reflections the Bishop of Arles continues the thought of the Church Fathers, drawing especially on the output of St. Augustine.

- W artykule zostało omówione nauczanie św. Cezarego z Arles na temat godności człowieka. Najważniejszym przejawem tego jest fakt stworzenia człowieka na obraz i podobieństwo Boże. I chociaż Adam nie uszanował tego wyjątkowego Bożego daru popełniając grzech pierworodny, to jednak Bóg przywraca mu godność w dziele zbawczym Jezusa Chrystusa. Cezary zachęca wiernych do troski o swoją godność, tak aby ostatecznie zasłużyli sobie na wieczne szczęście w niebie. W artykule zwrócono uwagę, że biskup Arles w swoich rozważaniach kontynuuje myśl ojców Kościoła, korzystając szczególnie z dorobku św. Augustyna.

- У статті обговорено вчення св. Кесарія Арльського на тему гідності людини. Найважливішим проявом цього є факт створення людини на образ і подобу Божі. І хоча Адам не пошанував цього виняткового Божого дару, вчинивши первородний гріх, однак Бог повертає йому гідність через спасительне діло Ісуса Христа. Кесарій заохочує вірних дбати про свою гідність, щоб оста-точно вдостоїтися вічного щастя в небі. У статті звернено увагу на те, що арльський єпископ у своїх роздумах продовжує думку Отців Церкви, черпаючи особливо з доробку св. Августина.
