Antistatic properties of pyrrolidinium-, morpholinium and pyridinium chlorides with alkoxy methyl und alkyl thiomethyl radicals

Abstract
The antistatic properties of the following compounds were investigated: 1-alkoxymethyl- and 1-alkylthiomethyl-1-methyl- pyrrolidinium chloride, 4-alkylthiomethyl-4-dodecyl- and 4- alkyl thiomethyl-4-(2-hydroxyethyl)morpholinium chloride, 1- alkylthiomethyl- and 1-alkoxymethyl-3-ethomethylpyridinium chloride and 1-alkyl thiomethyl-3-butyl thiomethyl pyridinium chloride. It was found that of the 58 chlorides examined, no fewer that 28 possess excellent antistatic properties.
