Motyw protestancki w tle kościelnej unii brzeskiej

Abstract
The penetration of Protestant ideas, similarly to the Latin one, to the Kiev Church at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries was very elear and not subject to any doubts. The question may be raised only by the true purpose of such an action, which constituted an intentional interference with the identity, distinctness and autonomy of another rehgion. At the same time, it was not devoid of hidden intentions due to the direct influence on the principles and direction of the eastern Church of the Kiev tradition. All these influences, although they left a historical mark on the spiritual heritage of this Church, were also an important experience strengthening her identity. The issue raised under the research account remains the assessment of the real dependence of the then Kiev Church on foreign influences. Especially Protestants, which unlike Latin had a different premise and penetration system.

- To, że przenikanie myśli protestanckiej, podobnie jak łacińskiej, do Kościoła kijowskiego na przełomie XVI i XVII w. było wyraźne, nie podlega jakiejkolwiek wątpliwości. Pytanie może budzić tylko prawdziwy cel tego typu działania, które stanowiło zamierzoną ingerencję w identyczność, odrębność i autonomię innego wyznania. Przy tym nie było ono pozbawione ukrytych intencji w związku z bezpośrednim oddziaływaniem na zasady i kierunek rozwoju wschodniego Kościoła tradycji kijowskiej. Wszystkie te wpływy, choć pozostawiły historyczny ślad na duchowym dziedzictwie tego Kościoła, stanowiły także ważne doświadczenie wzmacniające jego tożsamość. Kwestią złożoną pod kątem badawczym pozostaje ocena realnej zależności ówczesnego Kościoła kijowskiego od wpływów obcych, szczególnie protestanckich, które w przeciwieństwie do łacińskich miały inne założenie i system przenikania.
