Pneumatologia św. Ambrożego z Mediolanu

Abstract
St. Ambrose of Milan wrote a work which is important from the perspective of pneumatology titled “De Spiritu Sancto”. The teaching about the Holy Spirit is shown in a Trinitarian perspective based on the borrowings from some works on the same subject written by the Greek Fathers. In many aspects it has some common features with the Eastern pneumatology. Thanks to it, St. Ambrose transfers the concepts used by Greek writers to the Western way of thinking. In his teaching about the Holy Spirit, the Bishop of Milan pays special attention to the unity and equality of the Divine Persons, which entitles him to present the divinity of the Holy Spirit and Its diversity from other creations. In his pneumatology Saint Ambrose emphasizes the role of the Third Divine Person in the work of creation, beginning with the act of creation through the healing from sins, deification of Christ’s human nature and the sanctification of man in the Sacraments.

- Św. Ambroży z Mediolanu napisał ważne dzieło z punktu widzenia pneumatologii zatytułowane "De Spiritu Sancto". Naukę o Duchu Świętym ukazuje w perspektywie trynitarnej, ze względu zaś na zapożyczenia z niektórych dzieł greckich ojców na ten sam temat, w wielu miejscach posiada ona u niego cechy wspólne z pneumatologią wschodnią. Dzięki temu św. Ambroży przenosi pojęcia stosowane przez greckich pisarzy do zachodniego stylu myślenia. W swojej nauce o Duchu Świętym biskup Mediolanu zwraca przede wszystkim uwagę na jedność i równość Osób Boskich, co daje mu prawo do ukazania bóstwa Duch Świętego i Jego odmienności od stworzeń. W swojej pneumatologii eksponuje także św. Ambroży rolę trzeciej Osoby Boskiej w szeroko rozumianym dziele stworzenia, począwszy od aktu stwórczego poprzez naprawienie stanu po grzechu, przebóstwienie ludzkiej natury Chrystusa oraz uświęcenie i przebóstwienie człowieka w sakramentach.
