Abstract
Polycarbosilanes and crosslinked polycarbosilanes were obtained by using a polyhydrosilylation reaction between difuncional vinylsilanes and difunctional hydrosilanes or in the intermolecular hydrosilylation of monomers containing an Si-H bond and an SiCH=CH2 group in the same molecule. Poly(sily1ene-ethy1enearylene)s were obtained with the highest molecular weight. They seem to be potential parent substances for future applications as a membrane materials.
