Abstract
he article is dedicated to the investigation of the concept FEAR in the Ukrai nian language mapping. Semantic constituents and the general structure of the concept have been determined on the basis of the linguistic material; the principles of cognitive lin-guistics and cognitive defi nition have been taken into account.
