Abstract
The demand for talented people, who taking up the challenges of the modern world in a creative way, remains as relevant as ever. This raises a number of questions related to gifted individuals – the size of expectations, creating opportunities, the existence of barriers, taking into account the educational needs (and not only these needs) and creating the conditions for such individuals' harmonious development. The discussions presented in this publication revolve around the issue of education for gifted persons, educational conditions and challenges. These discussions are the result of many years of the author's research and reflections on the situation of gifted individuals in the educational environment. The book is addressed to students of education faculties at universities, as material to be used in academic teaching, as well as to future and practising teachers. to get to know and better understand the situation of gifted individuals.

- Zapotrzebowanie na ludzi zdolnych, twórczo podejmujących wyzwania współczesnego świata, nie traci na aktualności. W związku z tym pojawiają się też liczne pytania, m.in. o skalę oczekiwań, stwarzanie szans, istnienie barier, uwzględnianie potrzeb edukacyjnych (i nie tylko) oraz tworzenie warunków dla harmonijnego rozwoju jednostek zdolnych. Autorka przedstawia sytuację jednostek zdolnych w środowisku edukacyjnym, uwarunkowań edukacyjnych i wyzwań, jakie przed takimi osobami stoją, na podstawie wyników własnych wieloletnich obserwacji i refleksji. Książka adresowana jest do studentów kierunków pedagogicznych szkół wyższych, a także do praktykujących, jak i przyszłych nauczycieli.
