Synthesis and properties of porous tin phosphate systems
Paulina Półrolniczak
Abstract
Presented thesis was focused on the synthesis and characterization (particularly catalytic properties) of porous tin phosphate materials. First part refers to obtaining mesoporous tin phosphates with the aid of hydrothermal syntheses, sol-gel and nanocating with hard templates. The obtained products exhibit ordered mesoporous system but the ordering of the mesoporous structure deteriorated markedly after thermal treatment. Thermal treatment was necessary to remove structure directing agents. Despite that, all products exhibit mesoporosity with high surface areas and narrow pore size distributions. Ordered mesoporous tin phosphates with hexagonal structure and thermal stability up to 550˚C were synthesized via nanocasting route with hard templates such as SBA-15 and mesoporous carbon CMK-3. All the obtained samples exhibit catalytic acid active sites and do not show redox properties (no activity in the oxidation reactions). The second part of presented study was the syntheses of crystalline, microporous AFI structured AlPO4-5 analogs. The rising amounts of tin was introduced to AlPO4-5 material until amorphous material was obtained. Significant novelty of this part of the study was the use of tetravalent tin (presented in literature) and divalent tin (not yet presented) and the system containing both valence states together.- Record ID
